I rarely do these things. but

's art is awesome, and i don't know her in real life. so i'd feel like a right dick if i ignored her tag.
So here we go.
1- post these rules
2- each person tagged must post 8 random facts about themselves
3- tags should write a journal/ blog of these facts
4- at the end of the post 8 more persons are tagged and named
5- go to their page and leave a comment telling them they're tagged
Facts
1. My CD collection is alphabetised. Top to bottom and left to right (they are in rack of columns), it goes from A - Z by bandname. Within each band/artist, they are organised chronologically, with the more recent albums at the top going down to the older at the bottom.
I don't have any Q's or Z's. I do what the stores do and put solo artist's by their last name. The other day I noticed how close Wolf Parade and Wolf, Patrick are.
2. I used to be on a CDMA phone service, but Telstra terminated it, but they sent me a new phone and simcard free as compensation. The phone is way better than my old one, but I don't like it because you have to switch to a whole different mode if you want to type the number 0 in your messages, and also it is a BITCH to add new words to the dictionary. FUCK YOU SAGEM.
3. You know that thing where you can quickly flex the muscles at the back of your knee when you're sitting down? Well every time I am in a car, I look out the windows and do that to match the stuff going past. On one side is the lane dividing lines like this - - - - and i flex once for each gap between a line. On the other side I do it to the driveways and drain thingies in gutters (what do you call them?). Sometimes I mix it up a little and do it once for each car going past instead of lines, but I always do it in some way or another.
I'm pretty sure other people get that thing where if they play a certain game or do a certain activity for awhile, they start seeing the real world in terms of those patterns. I think the above mentioned activity is a remnant from childhood video game obsessions.
4. For the last two or three months or so I have had intensely vivid dreams, almost every night. This never happened before. I believe that my mind is trying to teach me about myself by allowing me nightly access to my parallel world identities.
Two night ago I was shot. I'm not sure who the gunman was (anymore). He shot me, and people jumped on him and restrained him a second later. They had tried to calm him but he had turned around and shot me suddenly, taking them by surprise.
I remember that I wondered briefly whether my heart was hit, and then whether hearts exploded if you shot them. Then I felt my heart beating really hard, and knew that the bullet had sailed by just underneath it. I was going to be fine.
At first I had felt nothing, but as everything seemed to move in slow motion, feeling gradually built in my wounded chest. It was tight, as if the tissue around the wound was all being pulled fiercely inward by something. I started to laugh madly, and looked around at people incredulously.
"Holy shit! I just got shot!"
I was exhilerated.
5. I love webcomics like I love winter. My favourites are (not in order)
xkcd,
Dinosaur Comics,
A Softer World,
Minus, and
Dresden Codak. There are lots of others that everyone should read, but you can probably find your way to all of them from those five.
6. I love winter. I wish every day was a sunny winter's day. I hate summer.
7. One day I stumbled across this really cool game called
Worlds Apart. I love it and have played it through several times. I cannot wait until this lady writes the book sequel to it. It reminds me alot of Isobelle Carmody's legendsong saga. I want the third book of that series. BONUS FACT: I first read Darkfall and Darksong at the same time that I got Radiohead's 'Kid A', and each night I would listen to it (it's now one of my top albums ever ever) and read the books. So now whenever I read them I think of Kid A, and whenever I listen to it I get all this imagery of island fantasy magic worlds. It goes together really nicely in my head, particularly that drifting sound and the first three tones of the song Kid A. That is the sound of dark, emotional, mind-sharing magic.
8. I buff my nails. It's very relaxing.
RIGHT. That took a while. Also those were more stories than facts.
Heck! Do I even know 8 people in this place?
